4-5-2008 JAX Picnic We had a picnic at the office to celebrate the award we won for the closest to our goals for 2007. We cooked hot dogs and hamburgers. We had a bouncy house/slide, electric race car track along with a dunkin’ tank. Yes all the managers had to get in and take their chance at staying dry. We had music courtesy of Melissa Wood’s husband in which Melissa danced with all the kids and showed her grooves. We had a balloon toss, egg and spoon race as well as many carnival games. Everyone had a blast and enjoyed the day.
4-26-2008 JAX Demolition Derby We participated the in the Builders Care Demolition Derby again this year. Our car did good. We were in the first heat and made it to the last 3 cars moving but took a good hit and that was it. We did however get it going again and was able to make it to the final heat. Everyone had a get time cheering him on and hopefully we will win next time.
2-16-2008 Angelwood Volunteer Day A group from the service department made arrangements with Alexis from Angelwood to complete a volunteer work day project. We were able to work on the Macaw house that house young boys. The fire marshal had come by to do the inspection just days before we called to see if we could help. He had given them a list of projects to complete within 30 days. We cleaned the roof and siding. We removed a brick walk way and patio that was deemed unsafe. We also did some cleaning of the yard and replaced the walkway and patio with mulch. What a difference the afternoon made and they we able to pass the inspection with flying colors and before the scheduled timeframe.
